Director of Football Operations Kevin Colbert and the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed on a 5 year Contract extension.

This was a big no brainer my 2 year old cousin could have figured out.

Keven Colbert has brought the Steelers 2 Superbowl titles with his excellent drafts and free agency moves. He came to the Steelers in 2000.

Since then we have only been second to the cheating Patriots in terms of winning rings.

One could argue if the Patriots didn’t cheat during the decade they might be 8 or 9 time Super bowl champions at this point.

Non the less the Steelers seem pretty happy about the extension:

“We are very pleased to announce that Kevin Colbert will remain with the Steelers for at least several more years,” said Steelers’ President Art Rooney II. “Kevin is without question one of the best in the NFL at his job and we are fortunate that he will continue to lead our football operations into the future.”

No doubt he’s one of the best and deserved what ever they paid him.

Kevin seemed equally as happy and why not?

“I am very thankful to Art and Mr. Rooney for the opportunity to continue my career with the Pittsburgh Steelers,” said Colbert. “Our organization will be faced with many challenges in the coming season and beyond. I look forward to working with the Rooney’s and Coach Tomlin as we pursue our only acceptable goal – a Super Bowl title.”
